Fairhaven Farmers Market Hosts Gardening Workshops
The Fairhaven Farmers Market will host a special Gardening theme this Sunday, September 30. There will be free workshops by committee members of the Fairhaven Community Garden on tips for home gardeners, farm to table practices, and preserving and storing produce.
The presentations are part of Fairhaven’s “Beyond the Bicentennial” campaign, intended to unite residents to create a healthy, resilient, and culturally rich town. The campaign will conclude with a Community Building and Visioning Forum on Sunday, November 4, at Fairhaven Town Hall.
The Fairhaven Farmers’ Market is scheduled every Sunday from 1PM – 4PM and is located on the lawn of Fairhaven High School, 12 Huttleston Ave., on the corner with Main St. A list of food and craft vendors and descriptions of each week’s events are provided at http://www.greenfairhaven.com and at the Fairhaven Beyond the Bicentennial Facebook Page.
